Ghostery does its job without you even knowing it's there. That's exactly how it should work. But note, this better be the last time I'm prompted by it for a review or the perfect rating it has with me up to this point will decline.

there was a time I had to switch ad blockers on and off because they didn't work on some sites, but honestly ghostery blocks ads everywhere for me, even on sites where ads are mandatory and adblocks 'forbidden'. it works amazing with firefox, too

I have used Ghostery for years. A friend told me about it when i complained about facebook showing me ads for things i searched on amazon. i do use other tracking and ad blocker but ghostery was my first. Those blockers do not let me turn on or off specific trackers or ad things for each website. love that i can make any allowance permanent or temporary. Ghostery was the first blocker that worked well with my tablet and phone. I think ghostery is also very good about listening to feedback and making changes. i like that ghostery continuously updates yet is still free. i donate once or twice a year, basically anytime they remind me to donate. It is a great extension to add and worth giving money to as well..

ghostery is amazing, not only does it keep me protected from sketchy websites for free, but it also blocks youtube ads without it realizing I have an ad blocker. It tells me how many trackers its protected me from, and is all 100% completely free! I can definitely say this is worth the 5 stars!
