Could you please update this add-on so that it also works when selecting “Open in Private Window” from the tab’s context menu?
For reference, here is a screenshot:

Ideally, it would be great if the “Open in Private Window” option could be positioned directly below the native “Open in New Container Tab” entry for consistency.
Additionally, it would be helpful to have an option to disable or hide the “Open Page in Private Window” entry from the page context menu. This would allow users who prefer using the add-on only from the tab context menu to avoid cluttering their page context menus.
Thank you for considering these requests.Developer response

EDIT: I stand corrected. You need to enable the permission which allows the extension to run in private windows. Makes sense.Developer response
posted 6 years agoIt still works for me. When installing the extension did you check the "Allow this extension to run in Private Windows" option? The extension needs that permission, since it opens private windows. Look in about:addons > "Open Page in Private Window" extension's "Manage" options and confirm that the "Run in Private Windows" option set to "Allowed". - Rated 2 out of 5by Andre Bell, 6 years agoThe context menu to open in private window is available but nothing happens. No error msgs. No new windows. Nothing. May be a conflict with other add-ons. Will update once I figure out which if any is conflicting :(

posted 6 years agoDoes the "Open Page in Private Window" toolbar button work on the page the context menu item fails to open? Is "Run in Private Windows" set to "Allowed" in about:addons > "Open Page in Private Window" extension's "Manage" options? - Rated 5 out of 5by Felininho, 7 years ago

Developer response
posted 8 years agoYou can open a link in a private window by right-clicking on a link and selecting "Open Page in New Private Window" in the mouse menu. This feature is built into Firefox. This is not as convenient as a key combination + left mouse click, but it's already built into Firefox. - Rated 5 out of 5by Cyberdrake, 9 years agoDoes exactly what it says it does. Hopefully they add support for opening a private tab.
